CURRICULUM

Minmahaw School provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies to prepare students to continue their education and/or to start working after graduation. Minmahaw engages students through activities, group work, oral presentations, etc. being the underpinning classroom management strategy. Have fun while learning! This “contemporary/experiential education” and along with English as a vehicular language, aims to develop thinking skills and confidence – “Minmahaw teaches students how to think and learn for themselves rather than train them what to think”
Critical thinking is the underpinning principle to all areas, which leads to…

  • Developing students to use the full range of thinking abilities for personal growth in a climate of openness, mutual respect and support
  • Improved decision making by using evidence
  • Clear and accurate communication of beliefs and opinions
  • Confidence in an English environment

Our school offers a wide range of subjects, programs, and projects where students are actively involved during the academic year. Our curriculum interrelates disciplines and projects with meaningful and relevant content emphasizing the region of Southeast Asia that covers topics such as Climate Change and Human Rights through both content-based and hands-on approach.
